Humana builds a new elderly home in Falkenberg
Humana continues to invest, building a new elderly home in Falkenberg. The construction will be carried out together with Bonovum Samhällsfastigheter.
Humana has entered into an agreement with the real estate company Bonovum for a construction of a new housing unit in Falkenberg. The accommodation will be run by Humana and will consist of 60 apartments in a three-level property. The construction is planned to start by the fourth quarter of 2019 and is estimated to open during the first half of 2021.
The elderly home in Falkenberg is Humana's seventh elderly home under own management.
- Humana is looking forward to establishing itself in beautiful Falkenberg together with an innovative real estate company and a municipality that is prioritising quality. Falkenberg will get a modern elderly home which residents, as well as customers and employees, will enjoy, says Anders Broberg, Business Area Manager Elderly Care of Humana.
- We are very grateful for the confidence to develop a new home for the elderly together with Humana. The accommodation will be close to the central station of Falkenberg. The need for new apartments in special housing for the elderly is great in many Swedish municipalities. We think Falkenberg is a role model and encourage all municipalities to be proactive and plan for their future needs, says Oskar Nilsson, partner at Bonovum Samhällsfastigheter.
The elderly home will be centrally located and easily accessible in Falkenberg in the region of Halland. The construction will have a spacious roof terrace, a well-equipped gym, an indoor common area for activities and a quiet, green outdoor environment with several patios. The unit will be equipped with modern technique. The lighting, for example, will be based on a technology designed to support a good circadian rhythm.
