Humana acquires Vintergatan AB
Humana acquires the care company Vintergatan AB in Alingsås. The acquisition complements Humana's operations within HVB and supported housing with its unique concept where the young adults live in their own apartments.
Vintergatan AB operates HVB housing with 11 apartments for young adults aged 18-25 and two supported housing apartments for young people aged 16-20. All clients live in individual apartments, where staff are available around the clock in the connecting base apartment. The company’s full-year income amounts to approximately 14 million SEK and the company has around twenty employees.
– We are very pleased that Vintergatan becomes a part of Humana and that we get the opportunity to progress together. Vintergatan conducts a high-quality business and complements Humana's offering within HVB. The company’s values are a central and guiding part in their operations. When we had the opportunity to get to know the owners of Vintergatan we experienced a common interest and a consensus on basic values and in the view of quality and people. We also saw an opportunity to complement each other's skills and together become even better, says Titta Lilja, business area manager Individual and family at Humana.
– We look forward to being a part of Humana where the spirit of Vintergatan can continue to grow. It feels safe and exciting for the future. Humana as the new owner will create new opportunities for development and collaboration for our employees and for the entire business, says Britta Tarre, CEO and owner of the company together with Ingmarie Arkhede.
Humana has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in the company. Following the transfer, which will take effect immediately, Vintergatan will be included in the business area Individual and family at Humana.
