Humana acquires individual and family company Kalliola Oy
Humana acquires the Finnish individual and family company Kalliola Oy. The acquisition will strengthen Humana’s position in the Helsinki Metropolitan Area region in Finland and will increase Humana’s capacity to provide care services for children, youth and adults as the needs in society is increasing.
Kalliola Oy is part of the Kalliola Group and owned by the Kalliola Settlement Association which has operated in Finland for hundred years. Kalliola Oy provides child welfare services, housing services and open care services. Full-year revenues amount to approximately EUR 9 million, corresponding to SEK 93 million, and the company has approximately 190 employees and consists of 14 units. The operations are located to southern Finland, including the Helsinki Metropolitan area.
– Families with children, young people and adults are today facing a wide range of challenges that social care providers need to address together. For example, mental health problems, exclusion, substance abuse and violent behavior have increased. Kalliola Oy will complement our Finnish operations in terms of services, expertise and location. Together we will be able to help customers who need strong support even more comprehensively and effectively, says Anu Kallio, Country Manager Humana Finland.

Humana has entered into an agreement to acquire all shares in Kalliola Oy. With the transfer, which takes place with immediate effect, the operation becomes part of Humana's business area Finland.
